Chicken skewers with salsiccia, vegetables and caramelized onion and AVIKO Steak Fries
AVIKO Steak Fries
350 g chicken cut into cubes
300 g white sausage
200 g red pepper
200 g yellow pepper
12 small mushrooms
extra virgin olive oil
salt and pepper
curry
12 skewers
Caramelized onion:
3-4 medium white onions
30 g butter
3 tablespoons of powdered sugar
½ cup of red wine vinegar
salt and pepper
1. Cut the chicken and sausage into cubes of similar size.
2. Wash the peppers and cut out the seeds and white parts.
3. Peel the mushrooms and cut off the beginning of the stem.
4. Cut the pepper into cubes of the same size as the meat.
5. We start forming skewers. Stuff a piece of chicken, yellow pepper, sausage, red pepper and mushrooms. We repeat these steps until we receive all the skewers.
6. Place the skewers on a baking tray lined with baking paper, season with salt, pepper, a pinch of curry and a few drops of olive oil and bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 40 minutes. The skewers should be well browned.
7. Prepare the fries according to the instructions on the package.
Caramelized onions:
1. Peel the onions and cut them in half.
2. Cook them in a pot of salted water for 20 minutes and drain gently.
3. Melt the butter and sugar in a pan. Add the onion and fry, stirring constantly.
4. As soon as the onion starts to caramelize, add red wine vinegar and wait until the sauce thickens slightly.
5. Remove the onions from the pan and season with salt and pepper before serving.
Serve 2-3 skewers per person on a plate with a portion of well-salted steak fries and caramelized onion. Enjoy your meal!
Good advice:
We are repeating ourselves, BUT it is worth soaking the sticks in cold water for about 20-30 minutes - then they will not burn while frying.
